Maybelline has come out with a lipstick crayon, the Superstay Ink. It claims to be longer-lasting than normal lipsticks and has a matte finish. I was given one to review. The formula for this lip crayon is extremely smooth, allowing it to glide easily onto the lips. It does not require lip liner, and a single coat will usually achieve an opaque finish. If you want a more intense color, you can always add a second coat. The matte lipstick should be applied on moist lips to avoid drying and flaking.
